Mid-Kansas CAP has resources available to help the homeless off the streets, or to keep families from ending up there in the first place. Our efforts include providing rent and utility assistance as part of our Higher Achievement Together, our case management program.We also work with partners to improve living conditions around the region, supporting local weatherization efforts, and working on tenant and landlord education and relationships.

Thanks to Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Funding, we offer Housing and Beyond options in Butler, Cowley, Harvey, and Sumner counties specifically for individuals and famiIies who are currentIy homeless. This is a Housing First homeless assistance approach that prioritizes providing permanent housing to people experiencing homelessness, thus ending their homelessness and serving as a platform from which they can pursue personal goals and improve their quality of life.

We are committed to providing quality housing options, and offer low income rental units in Hillsboro, Arkansas City,Atlanta, Madison, Severy, Cassoday, Eureka,and Rosaliain South Central Kansas. To become a tenant, individuals or families must meet income guidelines, including both proof of an ability to pay and of an income below 60% of the area median income.
